“Paradigm shifts” represent new ways of looking at things, and they often fly in the face of common sense. Pundits often point to surveys; although, a majority opinion does not constitute truth.
There is widespread enthusiasm for large and expensive government now — even if it is purchased with money borrowed from the next generation. Perhaps we should renounce inter-generational thievery and emphasize personal initiative and balanced budgets.
